Floors By Tomorrow: Sammy: Todays Kudos & Encouragement (Friday 7-17-15)

Good Morning Sammy,

Keep Calm and Carry On was a propaganda poster produced by the British government in 1939 during the beginning of the Second World War, intended to raise the morale of the British public in the aftermath of widely predicted mass air attacks on major cities.

Personally, I think that this was a brilliant move during times of distress and great fear and I wish that the slogan would be applied more often, especially during times of stress.

It’s Friday, we are nearing the end of another week of sales and we might just be getting a little tired. Our minds might be starting to wander and wonder what we can do on that one blissful day off that’s coming up. We might even be tempted to stress a little over yesterday’s performance (or even this whole weeks).

Let me tell you guys/gals something – YOU ARE AMAZING!! YOU ARE AWESOME!! We are doing something that over 90% of the company wishes they could do. Yes ladies and gentlemen, we are the gold standard that rocks the record books.

As we go out today, let’s remember, this is not “just” a business. This is a relationship. This is a service helping our customers understand and fall in love with one of their largest purchases for their home; not just a house, a home. And even though we are judged on performance, our real performance is measured on something larger that stats, mpl’s and metrics. If corporate could measure the love, joy, excitement and fulfillment that we bring to the nation (specifically Colorado), we would all be breaking those records as well.

So if we are starting to feel stressed, take a step back, take a deep breath and remember, we are the flooringman, and the flooringman can because he mixes it with love and makes the world look good. (sung in my head to the candyman song)
