Good Morning You Visions
Of Success,
Visualization: creating a mental image of a future event. How is it possible that the brain, a wrinkled chunk of meat and fat squeezed into a cavity too small for its size, can accomplish such challenging tasks?
WHY VISUALIZE?
According to research
using brain imagery, visualization works because neurons in our brains, those
electrically excitable cells that transmit information, interpret imagery as
equivalent to a real-life
action. When we visualize an act, the brain generates an impulse
that tells our neurons to "perform" the movement. This creates a new
neural pathway -- clusters of cells in our brain that work together to create
memories or learned behaviors -- that primes our body to act in a way consistent to what
we imagined. All of this occurs without actually performing the
physical activity, yet it achieves a similar result.
Visualization does not
guarantee success. It also does not replace hard work and practice. But when
combined with diligent effort (and, I would add, a strong support network), it
is a powerful way to achieve positive, behavioral change and create the life we
desire.
HOW TO VISUALIZE
First: We become consciously and acutely aware of everything that can
help us achieve the visualized outcome that we desire. When
we continuously focus on an image in our mind, every cell in our body is involved in that image and we vibrate and resonate with
everything that is in harmony with that frequency both on a physical and
non-physical level. This frequency moves us towards, and moves everything that
is needed towards us, for the manifestation of the desired image.
Second: We impress an idea into the subconscious part of us, it
eventually becomes ‘fixed’ and we automatically attract and move towards that
which we desire.
"First, have a definite, clear, practical ideal;
a goal, an objective. Second, have the necessary means to achieve your ends:
wisdom, money, materials, and methods. Third, adjust all your means to that
end." - Aristotle
So today’s task, in
addition to selling everything we touchJ,
is to take the time to visualize and write down our business goals and how we
are each going to achieve them. What
does our PERFECT business day look like? We have to define it before we can see
it, then live it.
