Good Morning Fear Warriors,
Historically, the fear of Friday the 13th
is called friggatriskaidekaphobia. In my opinion, if we can pronounce this
word, we have nothing to worry about!! This is our 2nd Fri 13th
in a row and it won’t happen again for another 11 years. OK – enough history,
but this does bring up a good point – FEAR.
With respect to our business, we only have two
kinds of fear to face. Fear of Failure & Fear of Success. Don’t laugh, Fear
of Success is real. Our deepest fear is not that we are
inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our
light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to
be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are we not to be?
As salespeople we
know we will not nail 100% of our appointments, we are not afraid of that. But imagine what might happen if we walked into
a 30,000 sqft office building, talked to the property manager and got the
flooring remodel job. Ultimately
we know deeply that the other side of every fear is freedom.
Colorado will appreciate this - 2 reps climbed a 14er yesterday!! WAY TO GO TOM & BARB!!
Procrastination is the fear of success. People
procrastinate because they are afraid of the success that they know will result
if they move ahead now. Because success is heavy, carries a responsibility with
it, it is much easier to procrastinate and live on the 'someday I'll'
philosophy. - Denis Waitley
Let’s put off procrastination today, and just
do that thing we are afraid will will turn us into a WILD success.
