service will always delay the purchase
if we don’t have the right amount of excitement and urgency. So let’s
give them specific reasons to buy it NOW.
A few ways we can help create urgency might be, giving
discounts (only people who buy our product today can benefit from a
special discount), add free additional services (giving
services that are going to be available only for customers who
buy today is also a way to create urgency), limiting
the time to get this deal (sale about to end).
I think creating urgency and excitement have a few rules for
us to remember. It’s gotta be real. We really do need to be excited, and as
important, convicted that what we have for our customers is real. We need to focus on what matters. We must
find out our customers motivations – find more than one if we can- and focus on
either healing their pain or fulfilling their pleasure. We could also make them
feel like a part of something. There is
an excitement amongst our 2 million happy customers. They will be amazed as
they talk to others, at how many people have had such a fabulous experience
with ... easy appt, in home shopping, ease of ordering & install, etc.
