Good Morning You Emotionally Charged, Well Balanced, Overachieving
Superstars,
Decades of research now point to emotional
intelligence as being the critical factor that sets star performers (US) apart
from the rest of the pack. The connection is so strong that 90% of top
performers(US) have high emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence is the “something” in
each of us that is a bit intangible. It affects how we manage behavior,
navigate social complexities, and make personal decisions to achieve positive
results. Watch for snippets over the
next few days – these are spot on, important, life changing ideas that will
help all of us “Be All We Can Be”.
Avoid Negativity:
The more we dwell on negative thoughts, the more power we
give them. Most of our negative thoughts are just that—thoughts, not facts.
When it feels like something always or never happens, this is just our brain’s
natural tendency to perceive threats (inflating the frequency or severity of an
event). Emotionally intelligent people (US) separate our thoughts from the
facts in order to escape the cycle of negativity and move toward a positive,
new outlook.
Enjoy what makes us happy:
When our sense of pleasure and satisfaction are derived from
the opinions of other people, we are no longer the master of our own happiness.
When emotionally intelligent people (US) feel good about something that we’ve
done, we won’t let anyone’s opinions or snide remarks take that away from us.
While it’s impossible to turn off our reactions to what others think of us, we
don’t have to compare ourselves to others, and we can always take people’s
opinions with a grain of salt. That way, no matter what other people are thinking
or doing, our self-worth comes from within.
I'm going to do a
terrific show today! And I'm gonna help people! Because I'm good enough, I'm
smart enough, and, doggonit, people like me! - Stuart Smalley https://youtu.be/-DIETlxquzY
