Good Morning Successepreneurs,
Sorry for not getting K&E’s out yesterday – NO EXCUSES!!
Thinking about
how AWESOME you guys/gals are yesterday led me to think about success. But not just a definition of success,
instead, what is it about you guys/gals that make this level of success
possible. What OUTSTANDING characteristics and features is it about ya’ll that
make you so totally great at what we’re doing? Here is what I was able to come
up with.
Success is
predicated on a mental process that I have broken down into five stages:
First is
obviously imagination,
seeing the success, through the failures, in our minds. Like Alfred (J) Einstein said, “Imagination is more
important than knowledge.”
Second is ambition,
the desire, that burning desire to make that dream a reality. Like Nicole’s
motivational video said the other day, “When we want success more than our next
breath.”
Third is skill, having or acquiring the physical and/or mental tools
we need to make it happen. And even though there is always room to improve and
get smarter, we definitely have skill in spades.
Fourth is work ethic,
being willing to put in hours and hours and hours and weeks and days and years
affects our work and success more than other people who just quit or lay around
on the couch collecting welfare and eating bon-bons while watching Days of Our
Lives on TV.
Fifth is perseverance,
that indispensable quality of getting up when we're knocked down and even more
importantly of continuing the sometimes boring, grinding details that have to
be finished long after the initial excitement has worn off. The follow through
that ensures our projects go as smooth and seamlessly (carpet joke) as
possible.
That, in my humble opinion, is what makes YOU
so amazing. That, is the encouragement I get every day when I read and put
together everybody’s numbers for the day. That, is what motivates me to go out
again and again and be the absolute best I can. Thank you, each and every one
of you for who you are and what you do!!
